Camp Kangaroobie

Camp Kangaroobie

Last week we went on camp to Kangaroobie and had the best time ever! We had to arrive at school at 8 o’clock and left at quarter past 8. We had a 4 hour drive straight but we stopped on the way. We first stopped to have morning tea for 20mins then we left straight away. The next place we stopped at was the Otway Fly and we had lunch then we walked above the ground on a platform that stretched around the whole rainforest. We were back on the road and this time we were arriving at camp Kangaroobie. The bus reached the drive way of the camp sight and we were going up it. There we were staring at farm sight and the actual camp. We unpacked the bus but it was pouring down with rain so we had to go fast. All of my friends and I went into our cabin which was Fall of Halladale and we set up our beds and settled in. After that, we had dinner it was spaghetti bolognaise and it was just fabulous. Then we were meant to do the night walk but matt only just told us the band could not come on Tuesday night. So we all had to go get changed into something we could dance in. We had supper after bush dancing and we had hot chocolate and cake and we did this every night. We went back and got into our PJ’s and brushed our teeth. Then we had to go to bed. Everyone had woken up before me and we got ready for the day. We were doing all of our activities like farming, the game, canoeing and the obstacle course. We would do these for 50mins but, we had lunch in between the middle of the activities. I loved the obstacle course because we got to have fun and get down and muddy. On that night we did trivia which is what miss pond set up and then we the bushwalk. The next morning we got up and ready for our day trip to the twelve apostles, Maritime Museum and Loch ard gorge. We went to the twelve apostles and took lots of photos. Then we arrived at Loch ard gorge and we saw were Tom and Eva stayed after the ship wreck. Last we went to the Maritime Museum and we dressed up and saw all the shops and places they had in the 1800’s. That night we did tabloid sports and it was the best we came forth out of six groups and we were so proud. Science it was our last day there we had to finish it with a day at the beach. We walk 5km and then we arrived at our destination the beach. We were allowed to build sand castles and some friends and Emma who works there at Kangaroobie, she helped us build the most amazing mermaid ever. We played and had lunch and did all sorts of things like rolling down sand dunes and playing

100 Word Challenge

I were running as fast as we could. I couldn’t see anyone after all it was pitch black and had no light at all. I was at the gateway and all the power in the city. I wasn’t sure where we could go but I knew there were more people out there but I just couldn’t see them. I was so cold and did not want to move I was stuck trying to beat it the wind. I was walking with a friend then all the power in the city cut out and we lost each other. I needed help!

Line House

We have finished making our line houses and they look great. Everyone has done a great job and i personally like a few peoples. We started of by drawing in pencil and then we got ink and painted that all over the background and we put salt on it to make it look really fancy. Once that was done we stuck it onto a black piece of card and traced over the pencil. When we had finished them i think we all were very proud of our art work.
